Halloween 2009

Halloween provides the perfect setting for a good 'ole neighborhood driveway dance. So, of course, we take advantage of it. It has now become tradition for the Corbridges to set up the DJ equipment in front of the house to provide the "Trick or Treaters" with some entertainment along with their treat. It's very entertaining to watch the kids "get down!" We have watched the surprised reaction of several parents when they learn their toddler knows how to groove; and, vice-versa...the surprised reaction of kids when they learn their parents know how to groove. It's possible that we have become a pseudo venue for "So You Think You Can Dance--Halloween Style!"
We now have the capability of broadcasting music on 99.9 within a 300 ft. radius of our house. Be sure to stop by to see our home light display at Christmas time that will twinkle to the beat of the music being broadcast.

Bear River Valley 30+ Singles Dance

Tonight we did a dance for the Bear River Valley Singles in Tremonton, Utah. This dance is for singles 30 years of age and older. We have been doing this venue for over 8 years now on every second Saturday of the Month. Tonight the dance was held outside the stake center in the pavillion. The low ceiling prevented us from cranking our light trusse up high, but we had some interesting reflections for trade. The weather and temperature were perfect.

West Lake Junior High

Today we did the "Hello" dance at West Lake Junior High. Unfortunately, my son accidentally deleted the pictures from his cell phone so there aren't any to post. The principal complimented us by saying, "This is the first dance the kids actually danced at. Great Job!" This is the second time we have DJ'd a West Lake event. We were actually invited back for this job because at the last dance, we paused a song midstream when the kids started doing grinding dance moves and asked them to stop. That impressed these administrators. Thanks West Lake for keeping the dances appropriate and supporting us in this action.

DANCE SETUP

We believe quality speakers, not the quantity of speakers, makes the best professional sound system for a reasonable price!

This picture is a side view of two JBL VRX932 line array speakers & two JBL VRX918 subwolfer speakers driven by two Crown XTI4000 amplifiers bridged @ 3200 Watts each into 4 Ohms.  This picture show our large setup which has 6400 Watts per side for a total system power of 12800 Watts.

The system can be reduced to one JBL VRX932 & one JBL VRX918 per side driven by the same Crown XTI4000 amplifiers bridged @ 2400 Watts into 8 Ohms.  This would represent our medium setup which has 9600 Watt total power system.

Our system includes the DBX DriveRack PA+ speaker management system to equalize and balance the system; therefore, providing a crystal clear sound.

We believe it is possible to provide fun, modern music with appropriate lyrics, so we spend hours reviewing them to keep our music free of swear words, sexually explicit, violent and drug related content. We do take requests, but reserve the right to decide what songs are appropriate for the group and atmosphere. We have many genres of music and have developed a reputation for being able to mix them throughout our playlist to provide something for everyone. We also have a large selection of line dances, waltzes, cha chas, swing, etc. Our credentials include many school, LDS and other church dances, weddings, birthday parties etc. throughout the years and have been complimented over and over on our ability to keep people dancing.

Hunter Central Stake Beauty and the Beast Play

Setting up for a play in an LDS church gym was quite challenging. We had to hang out line array speakers from the ceiling at precise locations to provide the best projection for the room. Mark measured the stage depth, the height, and width to figure this location.

The subs had to be placed under the stage.

Line arrays hung from the ceiling to provide sound coverage.
